Does this also happen with this feature disabled? Regards Michael Häckel

I use anti-aliasing under KDE I've not disabled it as when I last tried to duplicate the fault it acted correctly. However I pasted some text into an email and it behaved in the way reported in 36845. I sometimes acts badly when you reply to an email. It also seems to correct itself after a few minutes so you are typing your mail and suddenly you notice that it is working okay. That's one of the problems I can't seem to duplicate the fault reliably. I'll keep trying when I figure out what conditions/actions cause it to happen I'll turn off anti-aliasing and let you know the result. If it is of any use I nearly always have a CD playing (with XMMS) when I'm using the PC. ciao Neil
