I'm not sure if it is relevant but I let something run full screen and the K menu (K on the panel, panel location bottom screen) and tool tips all now open at the top of the screen. The K menu is top left, the tool tips float mid screen. The application menus (if I click on an stacked application) all appear in the correct place (bottom, just above the panel). I've tried repositioning the panel to the top (k-menu stays at the top) and then putting it back at the bottom but the K-menu stays at the top. I haven't logged in/out to restart it (too inconvenient) and since I use focus follows mouse the only way I can access the menu is to have a free path across the desktop from the K to the menu. I tried to capture this with snapshot but the menu closes before the capture occurs. Reproducible: Always Actual Results: K menu at top of screen Expected Results: K menu next to K button
Which version of Plasma do you use? If you are unsure, please ask in a forum of your distribution.
Plasma version 5.5.5, Qt 5.5.1 I can confirm that if I log out and back in the menu returns to the correct place but if I run a full screen program the menu shifts to the top - odd!
Thanks for the update, reassigning.
Cannot confirm. Tried launching PyRoom and Focus Writer. Distribution: KDE neon Developer Edition Unstable Branches KDE Plasma Version: 5.10.90 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.37.0 Qt Version: 5.9.1 Kernel Version: 4.10.0-32-generic
Ok - I can't reproduce this now so I guess some update in the last 12 months has fixed it, changed to "resolved". Thanks.
