When I press Alt+Space, I expect Krunner to display on my primary monitor; especially if that screen has received user input. Same for pressing the Super key (I've installed ksuperkey) - I expect the launcher to appear on the primary monitor. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Connect laptop to external monitor. 2. In Display Configuration, ensure that HDMI1 is the primary display 3. Disconnect the laptop and go work at a coffee shop for a while. 4. Connect the laptop again to the same monitor. 5. Press Alt+Space and type something 6. Press the Super key Actual Results: Krunner's input box appears at (0, 0) on the secondary monitor, and the Application Launcher appears at (MAX_X, 0) on the secondary monitor. Expected Results: Krunner should appear in the top center of the primary display, and the launcher in the bottom left.

I have almost the same behavior: 1) KRunner only appears (but on proper place) if it's run from main monitor (laptop's), it doesn't appear if currently active is the external monitor 2) Application Launcher shows up in the middle of the screen instead of being next to the button. This time on external monitor it appears properly

what is interesting, is that selecting the other monitor as main solves makes them behave vice versa. I don't know how, but after playing with it many times, it is possible to put things right. But this problem preserves after each reboot.
@vnik0: do things work well if your primary monitor is on the left in the display settings? Ubuntu/Unity has the same bug - if the primary monitor is to the right of the secondary monitor, windows are mis-placed - they open on the wrong screen.

Which windows are mis-placed exactly? Cuz App Launcher was broken even if I tried primary monitor on the right.
Is this bug still happening on newer Plasma versions?
