When I safe a project in kdenilve 16.07.7 and then try to open it in 16.04.0 I get the error message: This project type is unsupported (version 0.95) and cant be loaded. please consider uprading kdenlive soon. Well, if the project was started in 16.04, you should have backup versions still available from the 16.04 times. You can open a backup version using "Project > Open backup file". When doing this from a blank project, you will see all existing backups, you then need to find the correct name/date. The Kdenlive file format is changing from one version to another and backwards compatibility, like opening a Kdenlive 16.08 project with Kdenlive 16.04 is not something we are going to support
