In version krita-3.0.99.91-Beta-x86_64.appimage there is something weird with Clone tool. It appears on my colleague's computer too. If you set the target (ctrl tap) and then change the brush size, the tool will start acting like it's a very bad version of a Move tool. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. select clone tool 2. select target (ctrl+tap) 3. change brush size (shift+tap+slide the pen) 4. Try using Clone Tool Actual Results: The tool starts spamming the only place that was chosen as target - ONLY that place. The target cursor stays on one place. Expected Results: Normal Clone Tool behaviour Used the appimage version from this article: https://krita.org/en/item/new-builds-to-test-krita-sprint-to-end-soon/ It appears only with that appimage version. Snap version and previous appimage version don't have this behaviour. Ubuntu 16.04 64 bit GeForce GTX 780 proprietary drivers, v. 361.42
Having the same issue on Windows 10. After resizing the Clone or Heal brush all of the options under 'Painting Mode' get unchecked and can't be reactivated. Unchecking 'Source point move' causes the behavior described above. It's the same if you use [] or Shift dragging to resize the brush. Krita 3.0 just crashes entirely when using the clone or heal tool. Krita version: krita_3.0.99.91 OS: Windows 10 Version 1607 (OS Build 14393.82) GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 960M GPU Driver: 372.70
Created attachment 100923 [details] (Video example) (krita-3.0.99.91-Beta-x86_64.appimage - Ubuntu 14.04 Unity) I can reproduce this on Ubuntu with Krita appimage.
This tool is still broken in the 3.0.1 release
Confirm same problem on Kubuntu 14.04.
*** Bug 368662 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. ***
This issue seems to be fixed in Krita 3.0.1.1
Yay! Closing it then.
