Right click desktop. Select "Add Widgets". Scroll down to "Web Browser". Click to select. End of system. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Right click desktop. 2. Select "Add Widgets". 3. Scroll down to "Web Browser". 4. Click to select. End of desktop. Actual Results: Screen locked forever. No unlock window ever presented (at least I couldn't get it to appear). Expected Results: Web browser widget appears on desktop ready to be configured.
Created attachment 100705 [details] Screenshot prior to screenlock of death. Screen capture showing windget selection. Note dual screen operation. Left screen rotated 90degrees. Main screen is laptop screen.
Are you sure its just screen locking and not plasmashell crashing? Verify by trying to open KRunner, press Alt+Space.
Hi, I was able to press ctrl-alt-delete which produced the logout dialog. I took that to mean my desktop was operating normally, but just not accessible. I could log out too. When I logged in again the desktop appeared but soon locked again. It was never responsive to input after the first (screen?)lock. Do you still want me to try Alt+Space? I'd have to trash my desktop again :-( P
The web browser plasmoid has been ported from QtWebKit to QtWebEngine so it is unlikely this still applies.
