"Desktop settings" window persists on screen.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.add "Show desktop" widget to your panel
2.right click on your desktop, open "Desktop settings" (or" Folder View Settings", depending on the container being used)
3. click on "Show desktop" icon in your panel

Actual Results:
"Desktop settings" (or "Folder View Settings", depending on the container being used) window is still on screen

Expected Results:
Desktop is visible..

That is intentional behavior.
Comment 2 Patrick Silva 2016-08-20 19:41:48 UTC
What is the purpose of this intentional behavior?
Comment 3 Kai Uwe Broulik 2016-08-20 20:03:52 UTC
All windows belonging to the desktop remain visible. Whether this is fully intentional or a technical side-effect I don't know, adding usability and re-assigning Kwin.
Comment 4 Martin Flöser 2016-08-21 07:17:04 UTC
This is intentional behavior. All transient windows of a desktopwindow are shown in show desktop mode. It's a window belonging to the desktop, thus it should be shown.
Comment 5 Thomas Pfeiffer 2016-08-21 17:57:42 UTC
Yes, this makes sense, because "show desktop" is used for manipulating the desktop, for which this window is used.
