Description Dotan Cohen 2016-08-18 09:26:03 UTC
Legacy desktop environments would close a window when double clicking the Window Menu. Please add this feature to KDE.

In multi-monitor setups, this is especially useful for closing the window on the left-side monitor as Fitt's law cannot be used to quickly get to the standard Close button with the mouse.

Reproducible: Always

Moving to Oxygen component as I just noticed that the Plastik theme has this functionality.

Hello Dotan,
Thanks for reporting.
One question: are we talking about kde4, or Plasma 5 ?
For kde4, the feature is there, available on option (in the "fine tuning" section of the decoration configuration) and I just checked that it works as expected.

For plasma5, the feature is there also, it is set once and for all for all decorations, in the "buttons" tab of the decorations settings. Here also, I checked that it works as expected, for oxygen as well as breeze.

Can you double check ?

Thank you Hugo, I had tested on Plasma 4 as Plasma 5 does not support my monitor setup*. I had taken the word of a Plasma 5 that the feature is not available on Plasma 5. Closing as per your confirmation. Thank you!
