Description Tristan Miller 2016-08-12 17:53:11 UTC
When importing old KMail filters via Settings->Configure Filters->Import->KMail filters, KMail2 may occasionally pop up "Select Account" or "Select Folder" dialogs (see attached) asking for the user to provide some missing information. However, the only context provided to the user is the name of the filter. In many cases this is not enough information for the user to make a decision. Users cannot be expected to remember exactly what any given filter does. And even if they do, some filters have multiple actions that reference several different folders, so there is no way of knowing which action KMail2 is prompting them about.

Please redesign the dialog prompts so that they display all the original details of the imported filter. Or if this is too complicated, just dispense with the prompts, and provide the user with a selectable/saveable report of missing information so that he or she can manually fix these filters after the import process is complete.

Reproducible: Always

4.14.0?

Sorry, I don't understand your question. Are you asking about the version of KMail that I'm using? It's 4.14.10. (Isn't this KMail2? When I first started it, it claimed that it was, and offered to migrate my old settings.)
