Description Andrew Belitsky 2016-08-12 07:17:34 UTC
If I activate the effect, the coursor won't be highlighted until I move mouse.
Same problem with deactivation: highlighting won't be deactivated until I move my mouse.
I expected the effect will start to work as soon as I press bounded shortcut.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Press bounded keys to activate the effect
2. Don't move mouse pointer

Actual Results:
Pointer is not highlighed

Expected Results:
Pointer should be highlighed instantly

yes that's unfortunately technically expected on X11. We get modifier states when the mouse is polled which only happens on mouse movements.

On Wayland though, this works as expected.

On X11 there is not much we can do about it, sorry.

Setting to worksforme as it is working properly on the future windowing system.
