Description Detlev Casanova 2016-08-11 11:07:33 UTC
Hello !

I am not sure that I am reporting this at the right place but I have problems with the graphical output on my laptop.

I am not even sure this is related to plasma 5 (though I never saw that with KDE 4).

The problem happens usually when the laptop is suspended to RAM with 2 external screens and woken up with only the laptop screen. (I never saw that on external screens) Rebooting the laptop fixes the problem.

I'm using x11-drivers/xf86-video-intel-2.99.917_p20160803 (USE="dri sna udev -debug -dri3 -uxa -xvmc").

It is hard to find similar problems on the internet as plasma and intel have a lot of results about crashes, which is not my case.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. suspend to RAM with 2 external screen
2. wake up with only the laptop screen
3.

Actual Results:
Video corruption

Expected Results:
no corruption

Here is what I observe:

Please try switching to modesettings xorg driver.

Indeed, that is fixed with modesetting. It also seems to solve another problem I had. Thanks for the input :)
