Description Andrius 2016-08-04 23:02:24 UTC
I access the same database from two different digikams - one is 5.0.0 on windows (host), one is 4.14.0 on linux (guest). I use sidecar files for read only images as well as video files (mp4 in my case). Since adjust time&date option does not work on 5.0.0 (it just creates 0 B files) I do so in 4.14.0. I just noticed that none of the comments and GPS data I have added to video files and saved to sidecar files in 5.0.0 are visible in 4.14.0

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Add any comment, star rating, gps data etc. to a video file in digikam 5.0.0 and save it sidecar
2. Read the same files in digikam 4.14.0
3.

Actual Results:
None of the info added to files in 5.0.0 is visible in 4.14.0

Expected Results:
Both 5.0.0 and 4.14.0 should have the same data

The expected behavior is to use last version.

The high possibility is to have a bug fixed in 5.x releases...

So, it's recommended to switch to DK5. After all, we pass more that 2 year to port code from DK 4 to Qt5 frameworks with a lots of changes in source code...

note : DK 4.15 will never exists. The future is 5.x...

If you want to use DK 5 under a Linux system where application do not exist in standard, use AppImage bundle.
