In Firefox or Chrome I cannot paste the clipboard if it contains file://file/path Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Ctrl-C or right click copy a file in Dolphin 2. Crtl-v in a file dialog 3. Actual Results: Nothing pasted Expected Results: At least the content of the clipboard But it works in Konsole with Ctrl-shift-v

Those are input lines of the browser, not that of the file dialog. Please report this issue to the bug tracker of the browser developers.

Nolaan thanks for the bug report. I've just tested by copying a text file and pasting into the address bar in Vivaldi (a Chromium based browser). It pastes the file address as you wanted.
