Description aslanex 2016-07-29 13:02:18 UTC
In Kdenlive 16.07.80, when imported an .MXF clip and played, it randomly seeks. I can jump to any time of the clip, and another part is playing. Audio and video is desynchronized and when playing from the beginning, video is often freezed. It happens both when playing from project bin and from timeline.

Using MLT 6.3.0. In old Kdenlive 0.9, this didn't happen. When I convert the clip to another format, everything is ok.

Reproducible: Always

Same ffmpeg across old and new Kdenlive?
Comment 2 aslanex 2016-07-30 14:53:02 UTC
Not sure about that, but probably not, because I have updated the whole OS. Current ffmpeg version is 2.8.6-1ubuntu2. When playing the video in Totem video player or VLC, it works correctly.

Does it play and seek correctly in melt?
Comment 4 aslanex 2016-07-30 15:31:29 UTC
No, playing in melt behaves the same way as in Kdenlive.
Comment 5 Wegwerf 2016-07-30 15:33:57 UTC
Then this is an upstream issue and you need to contact the MLT project, http://mltframework.org/. The reason is that MLT is the engine inside Kdenlive; so if melt already chokes, then Kdenlive cannot do anything about this.

Ok, reported the bug on MLT website.
