Description Dominik George 2016-07-28 21:11:28 UTC
When using the "KMail 5.2" header style (which seems to be the default
now), the reply, forward, etc. buttons in an encapsulated message
trigger the respective functions of the outer message, e.g. it triggers
a reply for the outer message instead of the encapsulated one.

Tracked in Debian: https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=832788

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open a mail that has another mail attached.
2. Hit the reply button of the inner mail.

Actual Results:
Replies to the outer message.

Expected Results:
Should reply to the encapsulated message.

This is reproducible (and regardless of header style), but it looks intentional.

If I forward an email (e.g. to myself), by default it becomes encapsulated.
If I then open an email (A) that has another one (B) encapsulated, then click reply, the reply applies to A, not B.
However, if I open email A which has B encapsulated, click on "Encapsulated message" to make another window pop-up, and then click reply, the reply applies to B.

a.k.a.
If open email A --> Reply = Replies to A
If open email A --> Click "Encapsulated message" --> Reply = Replies to B
