When ever I try to draw, my cursor/pen vanishes from the drawing canvas. It stays on the screen as long as I have no drawing canvas. When I make a few random strokes, nothing comes up. I tried to close and restart Krita, and then the random strokes came up, as he asked if I didn't want to save my canvas. I clicked "no" and restarted krita to try again, but every time I have the same result. It doesn't matter if I use my pen or my mouse - they both vanish. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. double click the Krita desk icon 2. Krita starts, I open a new canvas 3. cursor/pen vanishes as soon as I hover over the drawing canvas. If I move off the drawing canvas, I can see my cursor again. Actual Results: I make a few random strokes that don't show up on the drawing canvas. When I attempt to close Krita, they show up. They also appear to show up when I switch to a different program, and switch back to Krita. Expected Results: shown my cursor and my drawing strokes from the start. I use a intuos pro medium PTH-651 and Windows 10. I'm using Krita version 3. I've never had this problem on my computer (currently using a laptop since my computer's motherboard needs to be replaced) and my my intuos works fine (with pressure sensitivity) in other drawing programs. I only recently switched to laptop so everything is newly installed and Krita has never functioned differently on this laptop. I use the same set-up on my computer and I never had issues with Krita on my computer.
Hey, thanks for the detailed report. Silly question: Do you have AMD/ATI brand graphics card(And could you give the exact name of the card)? We've had an issue in the past where those would make the cursor pop out of existence, knowing which card it is could give a good indicator whether or not it is the same problem. It is very likely an openGL issue, so you should be able to enjoy Krita a little in the meantime by going into settings->configure Krita->display and turning off openGL. This should make Krita's canvas slower, but the cursor should stay visible now.
I have a NVIDIA GeForce GT 525M graphics card in this laptop. It might be the problem in that case, my computer has another one ^^ I'll try that, thank you!
Can you also specify the operating system you use, the version of Krita and the version of the nvidia driver?
I'm still using the same windows 10 and version 3 of Krita. Intel(R) HD Graphics 3000 The version is ... 9.17.10.4229
Hello, we are sorry that we've been quiet for a long time. Can you still reproduce this issue with the newest version of Krita (currently 4.1.1)? If yes, does the cursor stay visible if you turn off OpenGL as explained in comment 1?
