Observed on up-to-date Manjaro 64-bit Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Put a link to an application on the Desktop, or any other openable file. 2. Make sure you're in Folder View layout so you can see it. 3. Right-click the icon. 4. Move the mouse away onto a blank area of the desktop and left-click twice. (Does not require a fast double-click: only that you don't move the mouse between the clicks.) Actual Results: Icon does not lose focus on 1st left-click. Application launches on 2nd left-click. Expected Results: Icon should lose focus on 1st left-click. Application should not be launched. My terminology may be wrong, since I realize there is a distinction between focus and selection, but it's a distinction I don't have a good grasp of. Seems similar to Bug 348587.
Do you use single-click or double-click mode for opening files normally?
(In reply to Eike Hein from comment #1) > Do you use single-click or double-click mode for opening files normally? Single-click. I switched to double-click mode and tested. Reproduces if you replace the 2nd left-click with a double-click, i.e.: Right-click icon Move mouse Left-click Double left-click
