When there is an incoming chat which is not already open, I get an animated task bar entry. However, when there is a new message in an already open chat window, then there is no such taskbar entry even after enabling "Mark Taskbar Entry" for "Incoming Message in Active Chat". This is useful for cases, where the chat window is open but it is not active/on other desktop/etc Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Go online 2. Open a chat with someone 3.Ask that person to send a message while keeping the chat window open Expected Results: When the option "Mark Taskbar Entry" is enabled for "Incoming Messages in Active Chat", there should be a taskbar entry even for open chat windows.
Have same issue, also on Arch.
I confirm. Also same behaviour with Konversation and Quassel. So I assume it is not Telepathy related but … somewhere deeper in KDE. Plasma perhaps?
(In reply to Arthur Schiwon from comment #2) > I confirm. Also same behaviour with Konversation and Quassel. So I assume it > is not Telepathy related but … somewhere deeper in KDE. Plasma perhaps? Ah, sorry, I need to withdraw that statement. I expected the icons in the tray to change, because I am not using a taskbar. Misread this option :(
Dear user, unfortunately Telepathy is no longer maintained. Please migrate to another solution, e.g. for Jabber a possibility is Kaidan, for Matrix a candidate is NeoChat.
