Description Rex Dieter 2016-07-22 15:03:53 UTC
org.kde.krdc.desktop references:
Icon=krdc

But includes no icon itself. This was mitigated in the past since oxygen-icons includes a krdc icon, but
* (kde) plasma no longer uses oxygen by default
* other desktops don't use oxygen icons either

the freedesktop/xdg spec recommends applications install their own icons into the hicolor icon theme.

Fwiw, in fedora, we work-around the issue by copying the oxygen-styled krdc icons into hicolor in krdc packaging. It would be nice to not have to do that. :)

Reproducible: Always

@Rex Dieter: Do you know how other KDE applications handle this? Do they just include a copy of their Oxygen icon named as "hi-..."?
Comment 2 Rex Dieter 2016-07-25 17:46:57 UTC
For lack of anything better, I think that's what some other applications did, yes.
