Updating from Plasma 5.6.4 to 5.7.90 on openSUSE, I see the following regression: Steps to reproduce: - set desktop to "Desktop" containment type in "Desktop Settings" - assign the Application Launcher menu to Left Button in "Mouse Actions" - click with Left mouse button on the empty desktop to get the application menu Actual result: - all windows are hidden, either immediately after clicking, sometimes after releasing - the windows reappear when the application opens Expected result: - The windows keep visible (unless I want use a Show Desktop shortcut or widget) This is also reproducible when not assigning any action to the Left mouse button. Reproducible: sometimes Related to bug 339426
I'm experiencing the same issue since I upgraded to 5.7.1 on Arch Linux. I can reproduce it with a single window on an empty desktop (no toolbars nor widgets) by clicking the window, clicking the desktop (window loses focus), clicking the window again (window regains focus) and then clicking the desktop again. At this point all open windows dissapear. I can get them back by pressing alt-tab or clicking on the desktop of a different monitor. - This is a triple monitor setup, only the windows on the current monitor are affected. - I get the same behaviour with Folder View - No action has been assigned to the left mouse button. - I was running gkrellm, it has an option "Set window type to be a dock or panel", with this enabled the gkrellm window stays visible.
