Description samandera 2016-07-20 07:58:30 UTC
As written in summary. Krita works so slow, that it's impossible to work. There wasn't such issue on Krita 2.9.11. The cursor isn't always visible. In the beginning the crop mesh is invisible.

Reproducible: Always

What kind of slowness are we talking about?

Does toggling view->instant preview make a difference? Or turning off openGL via settings->configure Krita->display?

How much ram do you have?

We are talking about slowness that hardly anything moves. For example, I move the cursor from one edge of the screen to another and I see onlu cursor at the starting point and at the ending point. I don't see tool on the canvas. When I try to crop, the wireframe changes it's shape after around 2 minutes. I have 4GB RAM. Turning off openGL helped. :)

Hi samandera

1. What does it means 'helped' ? Now does Krita 3.0 works on the same performance for you as Krita 2.9.11 ?

2. Can you give us yours detailed computer specification ?

Ad. 1. Yes, now Krita 3.0 works as 2.9.11
Ad. 2. Processor Intel Core i5-2520M CPU @ 2.50GHz , 64 bit, 4GB RAM. Do you need anythig else?
Ad. 3. I use 64 bit version

1. Can you also give yours graphic card details and drivers number for it ?

I'm afraid my graphic card is integrated with my CPU (or motherboard, dunno). I work on laptop HP Lenovo T520.

Hi again samandera

It looks like yours laptop can has Intel or Nvidia graphic card... Please follow these steps:

For checking your graphic card use for example:
1) Hit from keyboard "Windows key button + R".
2) Type "dxdiag" in window which will appear and hit Enter key.
3) In next window which will appear (DirectX diagnostic tool) select second tab "Display" and check "Device > Name" - this it's yours graphic card :). Please write this name here...
