Not reproducible here too. Run digiKam in GDB from a console. When it hang, press CTRL+C and ust GDB "bt" command to look where digiKam loop for a while... Gilles Caulier

The crash is in Exiv2 shared library while parsing image metadata to extract thumbnail. Please report this problem to Exiv2 bugzilla, with relevant file parsed while the crash. Gilles Caulier
