(*** This bug was imported into bugs.kde.org ***) Package: knode Version: 0.6.1 (using KDE 2.2.2 ) Severity: wishlist Installed from: Debian testing/unstable Packages Compiler: Not Specified OS: Linux OS/Compiler notes: Not Specified I don't always want to look through all of the groups I'm subscribed to. In particular when I'm in a hurry I'd like to see only what interests me most. KNode (actually KMail too) could help by supporting virtual groups/folders i.e. folders that are not tied to a particular group and instead show articles matching a search criterion. Some examples: - All articles with a score above 80. - All articles authored by a specific person. - The ten most recent articles containing "KDE" in the subject. - All articles from threads where I (or someone else) have participated. (Submitted via bugs.kde.org) (Called from KBugReport dialog. Fields Application KDE Version OS Compiler manually changed)
This is an excellent feature request. In addition to the OP's criteria, it would be nice to have a virtual folder containing all watched threads. This would make it easy to check for replies to threads I'm reading or participating in without having to check each newsgroup individually and scroll through pages of irrelevant threads. This feature would also help solve Bug 49847, though in an indirect way.

"All articles from threads where I (or someone else) have participated." This is exactly what I'd love to see!
