If I open the widget for the first time on my wired connection, it shows speed statistics both under the network name and when I click it to reveal the more details speed statistics (with "Details" in the other "tab"). If I close it and open the widget again, more speed statistics are shown.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open the network widget
2. Close the widget
3. Reopen the widget

Actual Results:  
No speed statistics are shown

Expected Results:  
Speed statistics are shown

This happens in both my Ubuntu-based distros (Ubuntu 16.04) and KDE Neon Developer Edition (git stable).

Could you please provide a screenshot of the applet working and another of the applet not working? Just to let us understand a little more the problem you are facing.
