Description Ron Willhoite 2016-07-10 02:13:10 UTC
During package upgrade, a new required dependency, kholidays, was installed.

Clicking on the Digital Clock widget now displays a large area with nothing in it but the date and "No events for today" to the left of the calendar.

I checked Digital Clock settings, and see no way to turn off this off.

Not sure if this is a packaging issue on the Arch side or intended behavior by KDE.

This is not really related to kholidays, but is a (much-awaited) change in Plasma's calendar applet to show holidays (using kholidays) and other events again like in KDE4.
The "problem" you report has already been "fixed", in 5.7.1 that "agenda view" will be hidden if no event plugins are enabled.
