Description Tom Kijas 2016-07-01 10:13:48 UTC
Plasma 5 lags a lot, every time I hover cursor over the tasks, plasma reconizes it really slowly, the blue shadow is there (over tasks in panel) after few seconds and before that, clicking on task does nothing.

Same situation is with other widgets (kickoff) and also when I rightclick on desktop to e.g. change wallpaper or something else.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Hover cursor of mouse over tasks, or kickoff etc.
2. Click, nothing happens, you need to wait few seconds

Actual Results:

Working in for example dolphin is OK..
Ubuntu 16.04, Lenovo c440, KDE5.6.4.
It is REALLY annoying, mainly in work :(

I can cooperate to work it out.

Disabling compositing (alt+shift+F12) does not affect it in any way.

This is a very vague report. I can't do anything with this.

If you think Plasma is frozen, please get a backtrace by doing the following steps:

open a konsole

run
gdb --pid `pidof plasmashell`
bt

then copy the result into this bug report and reopen this.

then type "quit" in the gdb shell to restore plasma.
