I can't see any actions on the paint window as I am performing them such as painting with any brush, zooming, and panning. The changes I make are only seen 10-15 seconds after I perform them. I reported this on a KDE forum and i was told to turn on opengl, make sure to check that the brush I'm using hasn't got a very low spacing setting; check that I have the latest version of Krita; check that I haven't accidentally selected a 32 bits floating point per channel colorspace; check that there isn't a virus scanner or something like that running; and to check that my webbrowser isn't stealing all cpu. Opengl is turned on; I tried to adjust the spacing settings but I don't know what a low setting looks like on the graph thing in the bush settings; I have the latest version of Krita; I dont know how to change the bits floating per channel colorspace an I'm not sure what would be better than 32; not sure how to turn off my virus scanner and not sure how to check where the CPU is closed but when my browser is closed I still experience this problem. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Open Krita file (or blank document) 2. Try to paint with any type of brush or try to zoom or pan Actual Results: Document remains unchanged (zoom and pan location don't change as well) for 10-15 seconds. Expected Results: Show brush marks as I am making them; zoom and pan as I am zooming or panning. Great program oherwise it is just frustating that it is so slow all the time
Um, you're talking to exactly the same person here in bugzilla you were talking to on the forum. As I said back then, this behaviour is not normal or common, but specific to your system. And all those questions are still relevant, and you still need to check the answers to those questions. If you're totally unsure how to answer, could you record a video of creating an image and drawing a line? With that information I might be able to help you.

Okay, I can take a video with my phone and send it to you, but could you explain to me how to change spacing settings to 'low' and how to change the bits floating per channel colorspace? If that doesn't work, let me know how to send you that video.
Spacing is set in the brush editor: https://docs.krita.org/Pixel The channel depth is selected when creating a new image: select 8 bits there.
