Tooltips are invisible (white on white) in Amarok and Krusader when Breeze/Breeze Dark color schemes are in use. They work fine with Honeycomb or Norway (but not with Oxygen though Oxygen Cold works). Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Hover cursor over any toolbar item in Amarok or Krusader Actual Results: A blank tooltip shows Expected Results: A readable tooltip Changing the color scheme to Honeycomb (for e.g.) fixes the issue. Only Breeze/Breeze Dark/Oxygen seem to be affected.
Works perfectly fine here with Oxygen as far as Amarok is concerned, using Kubuntu 16.04
Can you post a screenshot ? Here it looks just fine: http://wstaw.org/m/2016/07/14/plasma-desktopmp8175.png
Created attachment 100702 [details] with 1080p this is unreadable white on light-gray
Same here. KDE Neon LTS, vanilla settings (default Breeze theme) All GTK apps (e.g. FileZilla, Inkscape) have white on light gray tooltips, making it impossible to understand what toolbar icons do. Screenshot: http://pasteboard.co/Lj6iwlO7E.png
Cannot recreate it on Neon git stable 20180210 (Plasma 5.12.0, KF 5.43.0, Qt 5.9.3), clean user on default KDE settings. All the KDE/qt apps, including Amarok and Krusader are showing tool tips correctly with Breeze, Breeze dark and Oxygen color schemes. The same applies to GTK apps (I tested mentioned Filezilla, but it's irrelevent as this bug concerns Qt apps).
Closing as solved in Plasma 5.12.0, see comment #5
