I am using kde 5.6.4 with kubuntu 16.04 the icon-manager loading animation when an application is launched is not smooth most times. I mean the little round progress circle in the taskbar.

Could you please test a 5.7 beta live CD? The task manager has seen many updates, and this issue might be fixed on your system.

Likely already fixed by the aforementioned updates, but it could also be caused by any number of other things, e.g. graphics drivers. If you can still reproduce this in Plasma 5.11, please re-open.
