Description bkorb 2016-06-26 22:09:52 UTC
I've tried burning a couple of ISO images and it gets mostly done and hangs for reasons I cannot decipher. This time, I had it build the ISO image and when it hung, it put up a window saying "cdrecord has no permission to open the device". I have no idea where the problem actually lies, but it is 96% complete when this happens. So if it really is a permission problem, then it cropped up only at the very end. OTOH, I can mount the CD and all the data are on it. But still. I cannot attach a jpeg in the bug submission, but I'll attach it once this report has been opened.

K3b
Version 2.0.3
Using KDE Development Platform 4.14.18

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
The burning-an-iso-image hang happened 3 of 3 times and this problem happened 1 of 1 times. Since the iso images were video DVDs, I gave up on k3b and used bombono-dvd successfully 6 times. Then I went back to k3b to burn a CD with PDF's in it and got this semi-failure.

Actual Results:
failures at 96/98% done

Expected Results:
burn completion with CD/DVD eject

k3bsetup is suggested to fix a permission problem 96% of the way through the burning process.
