Description Janet 2016-06-25 14:37:47 UTC
In KDE4 the kickoff menu was able to show a logo, taken from the file branding.svg or branding.svgz in the used plasma theme. It can be used to show the KDE logo or the theme name or the distribvution name or whatever and therefore is a nice addition. Though the themes for Plasma 5 still contain that file, even Breeze, it is not shown in kickoff?

Reproducible: Always

That file should probably be removed, I don't think we plan to add this functionality back, VDG?

the icon for kicker, kickoff, dash is from the plasma theme it's called start.svgz. I don't think we need an additional branding thing.

Andreas, what the branding.svg was supposed to be is show a distribution icon in Kickoff, like [1], notice the ugly "KDE Desktop" badge in the top right, some distros put their logos in there instead.
