My friend have Kwin problem random times. The window graphic (bar, title and buttons) disappear. Kwin replace methods not solve the problem. Strange Syslog informations to help below. I need more information about this syslog lines: Jun 23 07:06:42 user-linux org.kde.KScreen[1681]: kscreen: Primary output changed from KScreen::Output(Id: 67 , Name: "HDMI1" ) ( "HDMI1" ) to KScreen::Output(Id: 67 , Name: "HDMI1" ) ( "HDMI1" ) and Jun 23 07:12:46 user-linux org.kde.KScreen[1681]: message repeated 79 times: [ kscreen: Primary output changed from KScreen::Output(Id: 67 , Name: "HDMI1" ) ( "HDMI1" ) to KScreen::Output(Id: 67 , Name: "HDMI1" ) ( "HDMI1"` )] and Jun 23 07:21:30 user-linux org.kde.kdeconnect[1681]: kdeconnect.core: KdeConnect daemon starting and Jun 23 07:21:30 user-linux org.kde.kdeconnect[1681]: QXcbConnection: XCB error: 3 (BadWindow), sequence: 172, resource id: 46137366, major code: 20 (GetProperty), minor code: 0 and Jun 23 07:21:30 user-linux org.kde.kdeconnect[1681]: Invalid Context= "stock" line for icon theme: "/usr/share/icons/ubuntu-mono-dark/stock/16" I need help to solve this. Thanks! Reproducible: Couldn't Reproduce Steps to Reproduce: 1. Just use 2. 3. Actual Results: Windows whiteout kwin Expected Results: Not kwin crash
The messages about change of primary screen are meaningless and unrelated. I've already removed them in later releases. Reassigning bug to kwin.
Please provide a backtrace of the crash, otherwise we are not able to investigate.

The "developer information" tab in the crash dialog. As a shortcut, run qdbus org.kde.KWin /KWin supportInformation | grep -i plugin if it says something about "aurorae", run "kcmshell5 kwindecorations" and select the breeze deco.
I have the same problem. From time to time, the window decorations, title bar, borders etc. disappear, and Alt+Tab to cycle through windows, or clicking on a window to bring it to the foreground no longer works. This is on a fresh install of Kubuntu 16.04, with KDE 5.5.5. Strange thing is, it never says that anything crashed, so there is no dialog box to get a crash report from.
In the next crash I will follow the #comment 6 instructions.

Hello, The "kcmshell5 kwindecorations " command not exist because "kwindecorations" not installed. And now the taskbar always disfigure at start/boot up/logon.
