On Plasma 5.7 beta, when using the Wayland session, the Systemsettings window has no icon and no title in the task manager. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Open Systemsettings 2. 3. Actual Results: No icon and no window title in the panel task manager.
I can confirm this; I am also using Wayland and most recent Plasma (5.7.95). This is only application with such weird behavior. However, dozen of other applications don't show icon too (but they do show title). Several examples are: Chromium, Skype, Inkscape, Gimp, Firefox, LyX (Qt4), Okular. Several examples of applications that work correctly are: Dolphin, Gwenview, Konsole.
Yeah I think non-Qt applications don't have icon.
Systemsettings icon was fixed recently.. https://quickgit.kde.org/?p=systemsettings.git&a=commit&h=39e13de3468add20f37eb0f8814dd6996384d23f However I can confirm that window title is not there.
The "many apps don't have icons" issue is because we don't have icons for XWayland windows yet.
Systemsettings has an icon now as mentioned in comment #3
As of today (17/10/2016) half of the bug is still present : the system settings entry in task bar has no title (icon is ok) when in its default screen. The window has no title too. Using yesterday's Neon wayland spin. Should I open a new bug?
> Using yesterday's Neon wayland spin. Should I open a new bug? Title is bug #370333 - it should be fixed, but I'm not sure whether the fix is already in the iso.
