Description antoine.coucou 2016-06-19 10:36:00 UTC
Trying to disable several system-wide fonts at once makes the backend crash. One font is disabled the others are not.

Probably related to bug #349673.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. kcmshell5 fontinst
2. right-click on a group of system-wide fonts
3. click on disable
4. type your password

Actual Results:
Backend crashes (segfault). The message is: "backend died, but it has been restarted. Please try again". One font is disabled the others are not.

Expected Results:
All the selected fonts disabled with no errors.

Using openSUSE Leap 42.1.

I have just struck this bug myself in trying to disable many foreign language fonts following the documentation here: https://docs.kde.org/trunk5/en/kde-workspace/kcontrol/fontinst/index.html

I get the exactly the same behaviour as the original poster has described.

My system--

Kubuntu 18.04 64-bit

KDE Plasma Version: 5.12.5
KDE Frameworks Version: 5.44.0
Qt Version 5.9.5
