Created attachment 99500 [details] This is the info from the Terminal results when I used Kdenlive bug test plus my inputs Can't start Kdenlive - click on KL icon in search box. tOk after that - a few crashes but that's not unusual with Kdenlive - I used it a while ago and was good apart from that. Kdenlive 16.04 and MLT Installed a few days ago - latest version of MLT 6.2.0 I think Ran well. Occasional freeze/crash. Mainly ok Then suddenly about an hour or two ago, just died. Can't start. So reinstalled using sudo apt-get install kdenlive Installed/updated itself and asked me to delete some stuff after that During that process noticed something about some words mispelled 2 x and that I might need to re-install grub. That terminal shut itself down before I had a chance to capture it Found a page about how to do a bug report Here now
From which repository are you installing kdenlive and mlt? From stock ubuntu or from kdenlive ppas? If the latter, from which ppa in particular?
Initial install of Kdenlive 15 V3 was from website I think I ended up using sudo to install it so not sure if it used my download or got it from the internet. MLT was from mltframework.org V 6.2.0 Same re install MLT - it seemed to do itself when kdenlive sudo was enacted When I had to update to kdenlive 16.04 to be able to use vidstab I used the ppa: kdenlive/kdenlive-testing from Canonical - when I re-installed tonight did it through sudo again and it updated itself, re-installed whatever and asked me to delete some stuff. There was a message in the ppa re strange spelling of two files and I might have to update grub but it worked after that. > https://bugs.kde.og/show_bug.cgi?id=364327 > > Wegwerf <wegwerf-1-2-3@gmx.de> changed: > > What |Removed |Added > ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- > CC| |wegwerf-1-2-3@gmx.de > > --- Comment #1 from Wegwerf <wegwerf-1-2-3@gmx.de> --- > From which repository are you installing kdenlive and mlt?
