Description porternw.tmp 2016-06-12 22:47:49 UTC
KDE power management fails to notice changes in state after woken up from suspend to ram. In other words, if the system is suspended while charging, it won't notice it has been unplugged if the unplugging occurs during suspend, and vice versa. Thus, the icon remains "charging" and screen brightness, etc. doesn't change to "battery" profile even though system is now on battery.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Suspend computer while plugged in
2. Unplug computer while suspended
3. Resume while still unplugged

Actual Results:
KDE power management still thinks compute is plugged in. System tray icon, settings are still in "AC mode" and vice versa.

Expected Results:
Power management should notice change in AC status and apply appropriate power management changes.

This is still the case in Plasma 5.23.3. I would like to add that the hover dialog says that the battery is plugged in but not charging when this happens.
