I go to my $HOME directory where I have folders. I can't quick find folder named "Pobrane" if I use shortcut "P,O,D" [from polish word podgląd (preview)] (see image). By quick find I mean I press P and I have highlighted folder with started by "P". If i will press O i will have highlighted folder with started by O. In my case it works with other names so I can quick find any folder with start [^pg]* (I use another shortcut "g,r,u,p" from polish word (groups) for changing view.) Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Add shortcut in dolphin "p,o,d" for preview 2.create new folder "pobrane" (downloaded in polish language) 3. tap pob and you will see that you can't find folder named pobrane 3b press p and you still can't highlight folder. Actual Results: No highlight, changing (no)preview works. Expected Results: If I press P,O,D i would like to have highlighted folder started by pod and in the same time changed preview.
Can you still reproduce this issue with newer versions of Dolphin?
In dolphin 17.12.3 still yes.
Thanks for the quick response, I'll set the status to CONFIRMED then.
Reporting this as a bug I was wondering this is a bug? So think about it also. When you type 'pod' you have 2 actions at the same time. But I think this is what user would expect.
Just found another bug. I use terminal build in dolphin and write pod also not work just `p` also don't work so it's bug :)
Those bugs probably have the same cause, but I am not sure how we can fix this behavior. If we would adjust Dolphin to type "pod" in the terminal & toggle the preview, we would break other shortcuts (e.g. with the Fn keys) because those would then also be inserted into the terminal.
