Although I set it to check for updates daily, I don't get a notification when there are new updates.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Set "Check for updates:" to Daily
2. Use Kubuntu for a few weeks.

Actual Results:  
You won't get a notification when there are new updates available.

Expected Results:  
There should be a popup, like there was in Kubuntu 15.10.

Workaround: sudo apt-get update
After doing that, the notification appears in the Task Manager.

This setting is not for discover but k/ubuntu services. Please report there.
