The program crashes when creating a file with pixels greater than 2000*1790. I solved the problem deactivating "Enable progress reporting" in Performance settings. But I think this feature should be disabled by default. After disabling this option I can create files greater than 8000x8000 without problems. My system specs: - Intel Core i3-4005 CPU 1.70Ghz - 4,00 GB - 64 bits Windows 8.1 Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Create a big canvas with "Enable progress reporting" option activated in a mid range(i3 with 4GB, 64 bit platform) system.
Hi, Rodrigo! I tried to reproduce your problem by artificially limiting the available memory to 4G. And I only get crashes when trying to open 3.5G file, when the system has no swap file/partition. Please try to do the following: 1) Check if you system has a swap-file and there is enough disk space for it. 2) Lower the amount of memory available to Krita to something like 1-1.5 GiB in Settings->Preferences->Performance dialog. This should solve the problem for you. If the problem persists, please reopen the bug :)
