I just did fresh "git pull" and "make install" after a pair of weeks; when I started krita, I saw empty "tool options" docker (will attach screenshot). Switching to another workspace did not help; neither did restarting of krita. What helps is to switch from brush to another tool and than switch to brush again. But if I restart krita, the docker is empty again. Reproducible: Always

Same bug here on Windows 10 64-bit.
Created attachment 99319 [details] Empty "Tool Options" docker (Krita 3.0 / Windows 10)
OS: Debian stretch 64bit approximately up-to-date to current date. Krita version: Stable 3.0, commit f0cbffcb6bdd1a80e5b0975fd0b80909c1235a81(tagged stable 3.0 release), and I've seen this on the latest git pull on master as well. My problem seems to be related/the same: my tool options are supposed to be in my toolbar (configured via Preferences/General/Tools/In Toolbar). However, when clicking the button (or using the shortcut) an empty tiny window pops up where (I assume) the Tool Options are supposed to be. See screenshot. When I configure them to be in the docker I get the same view as the OP. Also, I think it's confusing that the element is called "Tool Options" everywhere (including the shortcuts), but when it's in the toolbar, on mouse-hover, it says "Tool Settings".

It just started working again, and it seems to be connected to my tablet use? Reproduction: - Start Krita, only using the *mouse* (doesn't matter if tablet is connected or not, just don't use it) - The "Tool Options" window/docker is empty while only using the mouse to draw/do things. - On starting to use the tablet to draw, the "Tool Options" window starts working/displaying its content. In case it matters, my tablet is a Wacom PTH-651 (Intuous Pro M).

Thanks for the info! I had the same problem, but it seems that switching to a tablet solved it.
