Hi. The Clipboard brush was removed from krita 3.0. But it was very important. We talked at IRC and Dmitry said he can move the ClipBoard Brush back to krita. Here is the test of the clipboard brush from krita 2.9.5 https://youtu.be/W499Xb3SUZk I hope i will be moved back to krita! Thanks.
Created attachment 114649 [details] (Screenshot) Hi Paul, in Krita 4 there's a Clipboard feature (see image), is it the same?
(marking as waiting for info)
Hi! This will make only a brush. But the Clipboard Brush could be changed dinamically according to the copied image (Ctrl+C). Here is an example how it works in gimp. https://youtu.be/Ukp-_WXG7V4 I just Copy some parts of an image and I have a brush! All works with one click! It's very powerful. Also I know that Mix Brush in PS can do the same. But i'm not a PS user.
There already was a clipboard brush in Krita 2.6-2.8. But it was removed ((

Hello! I wrote my comments and added video from Gimp. I would like to set the status to REOPENED. I hope the devs will check the issue again and add it to Krita again. Or they will say that this feature will never be then we close this issue. Thank you.

What about the Clone Brush? I improved it quite last summer, too. You can set the point wherever you want (also on a different layer), and the clone point can reset with each stroke. The effect is quite similar to what I can see in the Youtube video of the reporter: https://krita.org/wp-content/uploads/2019/05/clone_brush-v2.webm?_=4 To change the place the close brush copies from, one needs to reset the source point - but with the clipboard brush, one needs to select and copy the area, too. Clone Brush is better in this regard that it doesn't rely on anything external, the user can use the clipboard as they wish while using the clone brush for other things.
It looks like a good way. Clone brush is nice. I think we can close the issue. I set it as resolved.
