Start kate, open a text file with several identical text passages to be replaced
Do a search and replace
After this command, kate displays the number of replacements (in green on lower right corner) and highlights the performed replacements. 
The highlighting is - interestingly - black color on black background... (see screenshot)

plasma5 5.6.4 on fedora23
breeze theme, steel color set, no specific color settings in kate

Reproducible: Always

This is fixed with upcoming KDE Frameworks v5.23, sorry for this regression in v5.22.
