Description J.Fly 2016-05-25 15:46:16 UTC
Please restore old dashboard behavior with the widgets. I already have an application launcher, and spend plenty of time in terminal and VMs. What I don't have is a way to easily display widget I want to use while doing other things. I understand you guys have no intention in returning the functionality, beats me as to why you got rid of it in the first place. Maybe a compromise and edit krunner to show widgets or give a drop down widget view or something.

Reproducible: Always

You can access some standalone applets through krunner, like the calculator. What applet are you missing/need to frequently access?

Mostly the calculator and dictionary. It's a lot faster to just press one key and have them both there.

You can always add a thick vertical panel, set it to auto-hide, and put all of your widgets in it. That works fairly well IMO.
