When there is an update and I use "Discover" to update it just simply hangs and takes forever. I started the update yesterday on 100 MB/s company INTERNET and I still see "Updating..." today. I looked for any authentication prompt and nothing. I am using Kubuntu 16.04 Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. A new update appears. 2. Click on install updates. 3. Discover ask for authentication. 4. Enter the password and the process starts. Actual Results: Update starts and then hangs. You can't close it because you get the in progress message. You can't install anything else because you will get errors: E: Could not get lock /var/cache/apt/archives/lock - open (11: Resource temporarily unavailable) E: Unable to lock directory /var/cache/apt/archives/ Expected Results: Update and close Discover I am forced to disable Discover and use command line "apt-get update && apt-get upgrade"
Created attachment 99175 [details] Screen shot of it hanging and doing nothing after 1 day later.
I need more information, it's impossible for me to understand what happened with this.
