If it is killed by a SIGTERM, it will show a restore confirmation when started next time. It comes to a problem if the OS shuts down before manually closing Akregator, on next boot, it will pop out a window and ask for "restore confirmation" rather than quietly start in system tray. Although if the OS is shut down by using KDE's GUI, Akregator seems to be handling the situation, what if it's shut down by other ways? (eg. `poweroff`, `systemctl poweroff`) Reproducible: Always Akregator's version is 5.2.1.
I think this is likely the intended process. If you are using a desktop you generally use the GUI to call a shutdown or reboot. Any other ways of calling it aren't telling applications to close gracefully.
