Description SylviaRitter 2016-05-20 16:00:07 UTC
The memory is often full and I have to restart Krita.
After the restart I have to reload all reference images and pick the colors again.
It would be really great if everything would be restored not "only" my last used brush and the workspace preferences.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Open a file, pick your colors (Advanced Color Selector), choose your reference images.
2. Save your file & close Krita.
3. Reopen Krita and you will see that it didn't save your reference images and colors in the Advanced Color Selector.

marking this as wishlist, because it is a feature request :)

This is actually something that has been discussed a couple of times over the past ten years. Some people really would like this, others prefer to have a clean, reset workspace every time. Others say, save the workspace and everything in the .kra file. If we do this, we need to really make a careful list of what needs to be saved and where.

Thanks for marking it as wishlist. These are my first bug reports ever %).
Restoring settings would be a great optional feature. It is really annoying to pick all the colors/ to choose all references again. I try to avoid it by not restarting Krita.

Maybe it would be a better idea to make a way to clear/free the undo/closed images memory instead?

Otherwise this feature request needs discussion before it can be implemented.

i was trying to do something and i clicked on one of the texts at the top the typical ones that say like file, image, etc and then when it whent down there were almost all blank spaces tere were a few filled in but most of them were just blank, when you hovered over them it reacted like it turned ligter(still no text showing) and if you click on it it does something i imagine what it says on the text.

@Mauricio.kbuendia@gmail.com please discuss it on krita-artists.org, you will find people ready to help you there. Bugzilla (the place we're talking on right now: https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=363331) is a place that exists only for development, not user support (helping user solve issues they encounter). Going to the forum krita-artists.org will be much better idea.

Also some reading for what to do and not do on bugzilla: https://docs.krita.org/en/untranslatable_pages/reporting_bugs.html but it doesn't say everything, for example it doesn't mention that you should never add a comment on existing bug report that is irrelevant to your issue. In case of doubt, for example when you don't know what to do and not do on a bug tracker, it's always better to use the forum first.
