Description Derek 2016-05-19 10:49:39 UTC
Anytime I add an effect to a track, the project will refuse to load after saved and reopened. Kdenlive hangs and my computer's ram and swap fill up gradually. Some sort of memory leak?

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Add a clip to the timeline
2. Add a effect to the track the clip is in. *not* the clip itself.
3. Save the project
4. Try to load the save file.

Actual Results:
Ram and swap gradually filled up. Kdenlive crashed after about 1-2 minutes of no memory left.

Expected Results:
Load the project

Ubuntu GNOME 16.04, 64-bit, Kernel 4.4.8-040408-generic, Kdenlive version 4:16.07.70+git201605180747~ubuntu, melt version 6.0.0+git201605060629~ubuntu

When you try to load your project: do you see the progress dialog displaying "loading clips"? Your bug report sound suspiciously like the issue I'm seeing where loading a project takes forever and eats all available memory. I was wondering what the cause is as some of my existing projects load without problems, while others cannot be loaded anymore...

Should be fixed with recent git master. Can you please confirm and then close this bug as RESOLVED FIXED if appropriate?
