The traffic graph for my active network connection is always empty like shown in the attached image. Sometimes it works after a fresh session restart, but when I close the panel widget and reopen it, the graph is gone.

It used to work somewhere before 5.5 or 5.4, I think, but since then it has always been like this. There are no errors reported in .xsession-errors.

This issue may be related to bug #268022 but it also occurs when I'm not connected to any VPN.

Using Arch Linux with Plasma 5.6.4.

You need to keep it opened for a while until it gets some traffic changes. Try to keep it opened and initiate some download to make sure there is a traffic going through your network.

There is always traffic and it doesn't matter how long I have it open.
It doesn't show anything.
