Icons in the Plasma taskbar, all of the same color (black), small and impossible to enlarge, are not recognizable. For ex, when connecting a USB stick, it is difficult to see the change in the taskbar. The problem is that I didn't find out how to change the taskbar theme, it seems none of them affects it. Reproducible: Always Actual Results: Icons look like grey spots. Expected Results: Icons easy to identify, like in KDE4
Please add a screenshot of the problem.
Created attachment 98881 [details] Asked screenshot of the taskbar Hi, As you can see, both icons have same colour, same shape, didn't find how to enlarge them or better how to change the theme. The connection between the icon look and USB isn't obvious. (I agree I am not top eyesighted)
Nothing to do with the Task Manager widget, reassigning ...
Hi lebarhon, thanks for the bug report. The thing is that the system tray icons are ordinary monochrome (dark gray). you had two additional applications which use there icons in the system tray (the blue ones, which applications are they?) The icons from the system tray are ordinary from the plasma theme so if you change the plasma theme (System Settings -> Workspace Theme -> Desktop Theme) the icons there change (you need a restart of plasma), but also if you use the oxygen plasma theme you will have there monochrome icons. What you can do is 1. make the panel larger and 2. hide the not needed system tray stuff to get an bether overview (right click on the arrow). Please let me know what you would like to do.

These icons are from Mageia: "net_applet" for network settings and "mmgaapplet" for software updates. > > The icons from the system tray are ordinary from the plasma theme so if you > change the plasma theme (System Settings -> Workspace Theme -> Desktop > Theme) the icons there change (you need a restart of plasma), but also if > you use the oxygen plasma theme you will have there monochrome icons. In System Settings -> Workspace Theme -> Desktop Theme, I tried all the themes, the icons change except in the taskbar, they are always the same. In System Settings -> Workspace Theme -> Look And Feel, I also tried all the themes and the taskbar icons never change. > > What you can do is 1. make the panel larger and 2. hide the not needed > system tray stuff to get an bether overview (right click on the arrow). > See the screenshot in the attachment above, it doesn't change anything, icons can't be enlarged. > Please let me know what you would like to do. I checked it and it look that all plasma themes remove there specific icons so you have right it's always the same. I talk to Marco if we can find a solution. The problem is maintanance.
the oxygen system tray icons were added again to plasma-framework, but I need some time to make all needed icons and they are also monochrome. Hope I can finalize them this month.
I know I'm not finished but for standard users it should work now.
Yes, it works ! Thanks a lot
