The "short date" option for displaying dates by the clock in the panel is the same lenght as ISO. It would be really nice to have a basics date. For example it writes out the year which is unnecessary for most and it prepends month and day with zeros if below 10. Having an option with a 3-letter month and a date without zeros prepended would be perfect. E.g. "Sep 4" or "15 Jan" Reproducible: Always
I can confirm this. In my setup: ISO: 2016-08-04 Short: 04/08/2016
This one is fixed on plasma 5.7.90, frameworks 5.25.0.

My short date now is: 7/8/16 Is no the same length as the ISO Date or format.
Marking this as duplicate of the other bug which is about providing more/better date formats for the clock, close enough I'd say :) *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 365995 ***
